Who is Carrie?
I am among the lucky few who were born organized, but fate had it that I’d be surrounded by family members and friends whose lives were seriously affected by various degrees of ADHD. I’ve been helping these people since I can remember, and over time have strived to absorb all the information I could about ADHD and ways of dealing with it.
I’ve discovered many common traits of people with ADHD, many strategies for dealing with problems, and many innovative ways of implementing solutions!
As a Coach, my goal is to use my expertise to help those around me achieve their goals by overcoming their difficulties and leveraging their abilities.
In practice, this means I develop a strong working relationship with my clients, gain an understanding of their experiences, strengths and weaknesses, and help them find practical solutions to the challenges they face.
My Philosophy
I believe that we each are unique and have incredible gifts that are a natural and wonderful part of what makes us who we are. Yet, despite having natural talents and strengths many of us tend to focus our attention and efforts trying to bolster up our weaknesses instead of strengthening our strengths.
By focusing on your strengths we can find ways for you to soar and not get bogged down in the little things that don’t matter.
Focusing on your strengths won’t make you perfect and if you have ADHD it won't make it disappear, but it will make you into happier person. You will never be perfect, but hey, neither will anyone else!
Associations
I am an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation and active member in a number of organizations that provide information and services related to ADHD, Organizing, and coaching services.
